Modi In Europe | India Has Ended 3 Decades Of Political Instability: PM To Indian Diaspora In Berlin

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Germany said that the political instability in India over the last three decades has ended with people voting for a stable and “stronger” government, reported news agency ANI.

While addressing the Indian diaspora at Potsdamer Platz in German capital Berlin on Monday, the Prime Minister said, “The people of India ended the politically unstable atmosphere of the last three decades by pressing a button. After 30 years a full majority government was elected in 2014 and the people of India made the government stronger in 2019.”

Speaking further the Prime Minister said that he is not in the city to talk about his achievements or the work done by his Bharatiya Janata Party government in India, but to highlight the capabilities of core Indians, including those living in Germany and abroad.

“I want to talk to you about the capabilities of crores of Indians and sing their praises. When I speak about crores of Indians, it includes not only the people who live there but also those who live here,” said PM Modi during his address.

He also spoke about how India is growing as a global power and pointed out that in the next 25 years, when the country celebrates 100 years of its Independence, India’s growth will be at its peak.

“For reform, political will is needed. Today India is moving forward in all fields incl quality of life, quality of education and others. The country, bureaucracy, govt offices are same but now we are getting better results,” the PM said.

The address to the Indian diaspora in Berlin came shortly after the 6th India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations which were co-chaired by PM Modi and Chancellor Scholz.

A bilateral meeting between PM Modi and Chancellor Scholz also took place on Monday. The meeting between both the leaders was first after Chancellor Scholz assumed office in December 2021.
